Volunteering

Ballarat North United Soccer Club is a 100% Not for Profit, Volunteer Organisation.

Without volunteers there is no soccer! Our volunteers contribute to everything we do from pitch line marking and pumping balls, to fundraising and administration.

At BNUSC we have a flexible structure of all roles in the club. Roles can be split, shared or new ones added to suit individual skills and interests. Roles range from a few minutes per week, to more ongoing roles. If you don't see your exact role here, but would like to contribute your unique skills,  please contact secretary.bnusc@gmail.com

Why Volunteer?

People volunteer for different reasons depending on their circumstances, but some reasons we see around BNUSC include:

  • Gain work experience, new skills & build up a resume
  • Foster team spirit and build a community
  • Making connections and new friends
  • Having a direct positive impact on young people
  • Have fun organising events & fundraising
  • Contributing to the growth & improvement of the club
  • Club Perks available!

Recognising our Volunteers

Volunteers are the heartbeat of our club! We will have a volunteers celebration event during National Volunteers Week in May, and present awards to our volunteers at the end of season presentation evenings.

We are able to assist with reimbursement of committee agreed expenses for roles where the expense is necessary for the club such as resources, equipment, supplies and professional development. Please ensure you discuss your expenses with the committee BEFORE you make any purchases to ensure you have approval and reimbursement will be guaranteed. We can also help apply for grants for specific roles and projects, so if you have something in mind, please get in touch!

Talk to us about club perks available for volunteers!

Over 55s Jobseeker Program

We are also seeking people who are over 55, but not yet retirement age, and receiving Jobseeker. For those who have less than $450,000 worth of assets (not including your home) you may be eligible to swap your jobsearch requirements for volunteer hours within our club. If you are interested in this program, please email secretary.bnusc@gmail.com

Download the full volunteer program below - this gives you descriptions for each role and what's involved time wise. Remember, everything is flexible. We can tweak roles to your specific skills and experience, or share roles with multiple people to reduce the effort. If you don't see anything here, but you'd still like to get involved, or you have ideas you'd like to put forward on how we could do things better, please contact us to have a chat. secretary.bnusc@gmail.com
