Incidents & Injury
Incident
If an incident occurs, a report must be completed and sent to the welfare coordinator. This ensures transparency, accountability, and the safety of all participants by providing a clear record of what occurred , which is essential for assessing the situation and taking appropriate action.
Reporting incidents helps us identify potential risks, implement preventative measures, and ensure that any necessary follow-up care or support is provided. The form can be found here.
Injury
In the case of injury, the first priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of the injured player. An incident report must be completed, documenting the nature of the injury and any actions taken and emailed to the welfare coordinator. The form can be found here.
If there is a medical emergency, an ambulance will be called. Football Victoria has an insurance policy that applies to everyone who is a registered participant and covers a percentage of medical expenses, including ambulance. It is recommended that all club associates have their own Ambulance Victoria membership.
Insurance Claims
Football Victoria has a comprehensive insurance program that covers all players, coaches, marshalls, volunteers, and referees at the club.
