Theme Song
Verse 1 & 2 are sung to the tune of a Scottish folk song from around 1911, "A Wee Deoch an Doris" or the more commonly known North Melbourne Football Club Song.
Verse 3 is sung to the tune of Hokey Pokey.
Club Song History
It is not known if any club song existed prior to 1998.
Verse 1 of the club theme song was compiled by the senior mens team circa 1998. At the time the Under 16 boys team were heading into championships and had no song, so the senior men compiled a song for them. You can see the Under 16s singing this song at the end of their Grand Final win on the Public Archive page. You'll also find today's version being sung by our senior men's and women's teams together.
Verses 2 and 3 were compiled and added over the early 2000s by the next generation of senior players to complete the full song we pour our hearts into each win today!
